Custom Design
What is included in a custom design?
Custom projects typically include one concept direction, ebook cover design, up to three revisions after concept approval, and a complimentary 3D mockup. Additional services such as print wraps or promotional graphics may be added separately.
How long does a custom project take?
Projects are scheduled in advance. Once the project begins, an initial concept is usually presented within 5-7 days. Most projects are completed within 2-3wks of the start date, depending on revisions and scope.
How many revisions are included?
Up to three revisions are included after the initial concept direction has been approved. Major concept changes after work has begun may require additional fees.
Do you design for all genres?
Laura Kent Designs works across multiple genres including thriller, fantasy, romance, horror, and speculative fiction, with a focus on concept-driven visual storytelling.
Premade Covers
Are premade covers exclusive?
Yes. Once purchased, premade covers are removed from sale and will not be resold.
What changes are included with a premade cover?
Title, author name, subtitle/tagline, and minor text adjustments are included. Major compositional changes are not included unless otherwise discussed.
How does purchasing a premade work?
After submitting a premade request form, an invoice will be sent through PayPal. Once payment is received, requested text updates will be completed and final files delivered within 1-3 business days.
Payment & Process
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to schedule the project. Once project work begins, this deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due before final files are delivered.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are currently processed through PayPal invoicing.
Can projects be canceled?
Projects may be canceled before work begins on your scheduled start date. Once project work has begun, deposits are non-refundable.
Usage & Licensing
Will I receive the source PSD files?
Source PSD files are not included unless explicitly agreed upon beforehand.
Do you use stock assets?
Some projects may incorporate licensed stock imagery, textures, typography, or other visual assets as part of the design process.
Do you use AI?
Laura Kent Designs does not use AI in any of it's project design work, premade or custom.
